“Sean Conway is the thoroughly deserving recipient of this year’s Leadership Principles Award. As he approaches his 25th Gettyversary, I think most people in Editorial will have many positive things to say about Sean and his achievements, and how he has helped them achieve their goals. Sean embodies all the Leadership Principles, even the one’s that wouldn’t specifically apply to desk editors, such as ‘We deliver on our commercial goals, ‘We Solve problems for our customers’ and ‘We exceed customer needs, adapting as they evolve’.
 
As well as being one of the most versatile and productive Picture Desk Editors, Sean is also responsible for managing much of the production aspects for some of our biggest sporting partners, such as FIFA, UEFA, the Premier League and the ICC. Sean goes above and beyond always, he displays immense integrity, courtesy, and respect.
 
Sean is one of Editorial’s unsung heroes. He remains humble whilst consistently raising bars nobody even realises he’s set. He has a lot more impact than he would give himself credit for, and his contribution both on and off the picture desk cannot be overstated. Thank you Sean.”
